THE UPGRADE, EXPLAINED SIMPLY

Two heating sources.
One comfortable home.

A dual-fuel system pairs an electric heat pump with a gas furnace, bringing heating and summer cooling into one coordinated system.

Before your
next upgrade.

What does dual fuel mean?

A dual-fuel system combines an electric heat pump and gas furnace. The controls determine which source provides heat; the heat pump also provides summer cooling.

Does this result mean my rebate is approved?

No. This is a preliminary check, including clearly marked assumptions. FortisBC alone determines eligibility and the final rebate amount under its requirements.

Why are income and property values provisional?

The returning program’s full terms are not yet confirmed. For this preliminary check, income ranges come from another FortisBC program and the property-value limit comes from CleanBC. Neither is confirmed for the new dual-fuel offer.

Can I still get help if I’m unsure?

Yes. Choose “I’m not sure” and add optional photos of safely visible equipment. Our team can review your situation during an assessment. Photos are optional when online enquiries are available; they are not analysed automatically.

Is the quote assessment free?

Yes, an existing-system replacement quote assessment is free. Call the office to discuss a new-system design consultation.

What happens to my answers and photos?

Online enquiries and photo uploads are unavailable until the service is confirmed ready. Unsent answers stay in this browser tab.
